I'm Kien and the creator of blockd!
blockd is a workflow automation platform for those that are annoyed with hours of setting up workflows. I previously lost a 6-figure contract at my internship due to an n8n workflow failure, and realized my boss didn't know how to set up nodes and connections! I then interviewed over 150 people who used to use/were using n8n/zapier and most said the same thing: "I can't be bothered to tinker around the nodes and connections, and I quite frankly don't understand it".
So I thought to myself, “why not build a context-based execution engine so that everyone can just automate using English?” That’s what blockd is. blockd (though with limited ability) can:
the integration ability with 1000+ apps (we are adding soon)
the ability to modify automations/workflow details in plain English (or any language really)
help you find your pets (sarcastically)
track and log your workflow history, and its logs

the 'context-based vs node-based' framing nails exactly what's been broken about tools like n8n and zapier. i've spent more hours than i'd like to admit connecting nodes just to send a slack message when a row updates in a spreadsheet. it's configuration theater.
the story about losing a 6-figure contract to an n8n failure actually hit close to home. we've had zapier flows silently stop working at features.vote and not notice for days because there's no meaningful way to track and log what actually ran. :)
workflow history + logs in plain english is the feature nobody talks about but everyone needs.
'Dynamically builds the workflow for you' — does that mean the workflow is rebuilt from scratch each time, or does it generate once and then execute the same path repeatedly? Big difference in terms of consistency and auditability, especially for anything touching customer data or finance.
