This is a fantastic launch, Dan! As someone who has also felt the pain of spending way too much time on "meta-work" rather than the actual product, BlogBowl sounds like a massive relief for founders.
Most AI writers just spit out generic text, but the fact that BlogBowl adds real-time context from Google results and enriches posts with citations and media makes a world of difference for quality. Also, optimizing for LLMs (SGE/Perplexity) is a very smart, forward-thinking move!
BlogBowl
Hey everyone 👋
I’m Dan, founder of BlogBowl, and I’m super excited to finally share something I’ve been working on for 1.5 years!
The problem 👀
When I was building my first project, setting up a blog took me 2+ weeks. I spent 40+ hours coding the blog and optimizing it to rank in Google. It felt slow and complicated. I knew there had to be a better way...
And than I decided to build BlogBowl to solve my own problem 👇
Our solution ⚡
BlogBowl combines a solid open-source Core with AI-powered content:
🩵 Open Source Core:
Fast, plug-and-play setup - connect a subdomain or subfolder and go live in 5 minutes
Technical SEO built-in: structured metadata, fast templates
Write posts in built-in notion-like editor
Manage blogs, help docs, changelogs - all in one place, no coding needed
Collect subscribers and manage newsletters
🤖 AI:
Writes human-like, research-backed posts - listicles, comparisons, guides
Fully localized for any language or country
Adds context from top Google results
Enriches articles with media: images, screenshot, videos, tables, stats and citations
Finds Forum opportunities and “People Also Ask” questions
Integrates backlinks to boost SEO
Why it matters 🌟
SEO is still one of the most powerful acquisition channels. And now, with LLMs like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, ranking high on Google makes you more visible there too. BlogBowl optimizes your posts not only for Google but also for LLMs, so you can start receiving clients from SEO almost on autopilot.
Who is BlogBowl for? 👥
BlogBowl is perfect for founders, startups, marketers, content creators, and local businesses who want to grow traffic without spending hours on SEO content. It’s also great for anyone who wants a flexible, open-source platform to host blogs, changelogs, help centers, collect subscribers and manage newsletters.

@danshipit if it generates clearly AI sounding article that auto posts, it damages da and reader trust far more than the hours it saved. how are you handling the necessary human in the loop review before publishing at scaled?
BlogBowl
@mohsinproduct Hey Mohsin, there's is a setting whether you want all your posts to be auto-published, which you can enable and disable. If you will disable the setting, it will just create a post, but won't publish it.
Than you would click "publish" in internal editor and it will be published.
Hope it answers your question?
BlogBowl
@mohsinproduct I reread your question and it doesn't damage you da. I am attaching for you one of my previous products that used completely AI generated content and it was only 1 prompt, so not sure here what you mean 😁
What damages is:
- bad structure
- no technical SEO
- no backlinks

@danshipit congrats on the launch, guys!
BlogBowl
@nastassia_k Thank you, Nastassia ❤️

@danshipit Congrats with the launch. Everything helping with SEO is important and helpful
BlogBowl
@islam_midov Thank you!
Saywise
@danshipit Congrats on the launch! Would users have an option to choose which base model they're using to generate blog posts? (+ add their own custom guardrails etc)
BlogBowl
@cksaywise Yes, you already can create new topics and provide custom additional details there or edit topics that suggested AI to you to follow certain instructions.
Regarding the model I think not as of now, we're using OpenAI - and so far I like it the most if we speak about article generation, but I might consider adding new models if I will see interest from people.

@danshipit the promo code that should be valid until the end of November is expired
BlogBowl
@danielmelo Hi Daniel, sorry about that, I fixed it! It should now work
Hey, we’re currently using SEOBOTAI and had a few questions:
How does your system handle keyword mapping and topical clusters?
→ We’d like to know if content is structured around semantic entities rather than just single keywords.
Do you generate internal links automatically, and can we control anchor text or link density?
→ Helps us understand how refined your internal linking logic is.
Are outbound links curated or random citations? Can we whitelist/blacklist domains?
→ Ensures we avoid linking to low-authority or competitor sites.
Do you support schema markup (FAQ, How-to, Article, etc.) automatically?
→ Important for Google rich results.
Can you include backlinks to our own landing pages or conversion paths?
→ We’d like to confirm this can be used to drive conversions, not just rankings.
Do you have broken link detection or repair features?
→ Either for newly generated content or existing posts in the CMS.
BlogBowl
@jon_billington1 Hi Jon, those are very interesting questions!
How does your system handle keyword mapping and topical clusters?
As of now we just use keywords and we don't have complex algorithms for clusters. What I usually say - AI is here to help you, not to do everything completely for you. For example for BlogBowl I did a research and come up with 100 of articles on my own, without relying on AI. BlogBowl is much better at generating a specific article, than doing full research of keywords/clusters.
Do you generate internal links automatically, and can we control anchor text or link density?
We have some internal linking, but this is still in our roadmap! Regarding control, you have a full control over the article, we have internal notion-like editor, where you can change article however you want and of course you can use BlogBowl without AI (writing articles on your own) as well
Are outbound links curated or random citations? Can we whitelist/blacklist domains?
Those are random citations I would say, citations from Google to be more specific. For now you can't whitelist/blacklist it, but again you might use internal editor for that.
Do you support schema markup (FAQ, How-to, Article, etc.) automatically?
Exactly, BlogBowl already has the schema markup in place for all your blogs/posts. For now all blog posts use Article, Breadcrumb, Organization, WebPage, Website, Person, ProfilePage but FAQ and How-to is something we still need to add, as well as Video.
Can you include backlinks to our own landing pages or conversion paths?
Backlink functionality is yet to be created, since we don't have too many users as of now and backlink will work that way, that we'll exchange them. So, I'd say most of the backlinks would be to your own landing page or something that you specify, but to be honest I need to do more research on this.
Do you have broken link detection or repair features?
Not yet, but would definitely consider it. Do you mean just internal links detection or external as well?
Recap
Congrats! I like it! How does BlogBowl plan to differentiate its AI-generated content from the rapidly evolving landscape of similar AI writing tools, especially concerning originality and detection by search engines?
BlogBowl
@zhiqi_shi BlogBowl is plug-and-play solution. You don't need to code a blog, we already make it for you.
You can also read in more details about how we generate posts to better understand why we are differnt, what's stands behind and why it will be hard to differentiate whether it was written by a human or no: https://www.producthunt.com/p/blogbowl-4/how-blogbowl-generates-articles-in-depth
Also, here is one of my previous products SEO (completely generated with AI)
Recap
@danshipit Great! Thx.
BlogBowl
@nair0 Hi there, those are good questions!
1. When we analyze your web we come up with tone of voice, which you can easily change.
2. Sure, you can disable auto-posting and proofread it and than click publish. We have a great notion-like editor for that.
3. More info on how we generate article: https://www.producthunt.com/p/blogbowl-4/how-blogbowl-generates-articles-in-depth . It is not basic at all ;)
Congrats on the launch! Sounds like an interesting concept. What are most people doing with their existing blogs?
If you remove the need for a CMS like Wordpress or WIX because you handle the article generation and the UI, editor..etc.
So what would one do with an existing blog with hundreds of posts?
BlogBowl
@jeremy_ferguson That's a great question! I want to add API later, so you can write your simple script for that, or maybe even some integrations, where you connect to your web and pull all of the articles. But this is definitely something i need to think about, thank you for feedback!
@danshipit Yes pulling into Wordpress would be great. Looks like you're on the right path, I will keep an eye on the progress! It could also be something interesting to tie into our software Linkrocket.ai if you are open to discussing.
Oasi
Exactly what the market needs! This addresses something I needed.
Can be installed for nextjs or WP?
Congrats for the launch!
BlogBowl
@mrrabbar Sure thing, this is how easy it is to integrate to Next.js. You can connect it to wordpress through reverse proxy as well.
And we're open source: https://github.com/BlogBowl/BlogBowl
I really liked how easy the onboarding process is!
But how does your service handle the risk of being flagged for AI content and downmarked by search engines?
BlogBowl
@vasilbo To better understand this, I'd recommend you reading how we generate articles in depth https://www.producthunt.com/p/blogbowl-4/how-blogbowl-generates-articles-in-depth
And also you can check articles that are already in BlogBowl's blog.
P.S. I already attached twice screenshot of my other app, that uses just AI generated content - it scaled to 200k clicks from Google per month
