Goodreads is one of the ugliest services I have to use because there isn't a great alternative yet. I'm so glad to see this. My requests: 1. Make your logo retina ready. It looks pretty bad on my Retina display MacBook Pro. 2. Manually be able to show my progress in a book, page number or percentage. 3. A way to find other people in the app instead of trading usernames. 4. Different bookshelves or "lists" that we can create either privately or publicly. Sort of like Pinterest with their boards. 5. Mobile App. Beautiful start. Can't wait to see how this progresses!

Love that you guys are working to improve upon Goodreads. Realistically, I won't actually use this until there is a native mobile app as well as having the ability to import everything from Goodreads over. I also would appreciate the ability to create an account without going through another service.

Beautifully designed. Great work :) Excited for the community aspect. Biggest thing for me is getting the right book recs. There are far too many books out there so it's really important to be able to filter this down well. I typically read 1 nonfiction book a month, and a couple of fiction a year so it's really important I choose wisely. I've been trying to collect recs from the Commaful community for fiction and from friends' tweets/facebook posts for nonfiction

It would be nice to partition books into read, want to read, etc. Also sharing functionality would be great.

Pros:

Slick and more pleasant interface than Goodreads

Cons:

Missing some key features

The forced social media sign in is a deal breaker. Need to add the ability to sign in with an email account.

I’m still looking for an app that is better at recommendations! Build that and you’ve got me. Also - an idea for feature I’ve had for a long time: the ability to take a photo of a bookshelf in a store / used book store. Use OCR to extract titles. Tell me which books are good (according to popular opinion, awards or my recommendations).
