Cadran renders customizable clock faces directly on your Mac wallpaper, behind your icons. It also works as a native screen saver, supports multi-monitor setups.
I made Cadran because I wanted something on macOS that felt less like a desktop widget and more like a real clock face built into the wallpaper itself. It renders directly on the wallpaper layer, works across multiple displays, and also runs as a native screen saver. I also put a lot of care into the free version because I didn’t want it to feel weak on purpose. It’ll keep getting updates over time, and all faces are available for free in screen saver mode. I’d genuinely love honest feedback on the concept, the design, and what still feels rough.

I think the "settings" page still looks a little rough and could use some more work making it look cleaner. The actual clock faces themselves look quite nice like Ambient gradients, flowing time. I love the sand timer one!! Especially because it's grain by grain as opposed to an actual sand timer but maybe it would be good to also have an actual sand timer one.
Overall some very nice clock faces and genuinely well worth the £9.99 one-time price tag. If it were for Windows you would have another happy customer.
