Calor is a focused iOS app for tracking your daily calories. See active and resting energy at a glance. Follow your progress and dive deeper into your data anytime.

Mindful eating as a practice is specifically about moving away from calorie tracking toward body cues. So, how is tracking calories/energy the mindful approach here? Is it mindful of describing the philosophy or just the feel of the app?
@itskarelleh Good question. Calor doesn’t focus on tracking the calories you take in—that is, what you eat—but on what you burn, whether at rest or while doing physical activity. There’s no need to add any data or entries, you just sync it with Apple Health. Mindful because you can clearly see how much energy your body uses in a simple way, without doing any math or digging through tons of data. I hope that answers your question, thanks for your feedback!
@leah_dyke Thanks so much for your comment, I really appreciate it. For now, Calor only focuses on your calorie expenditure, not your calorie intake. One problem I often run into is apps that let you track so many things that you end up getting lost in all the data and tasks.
My goal with Calor is to help you know how your body uses energy in a simple, clear way. So yes, you’d still want to use another app to track how many calories you’re eating, but there are some really good ones out there already. With Calor plus one of those apps, you can easily see how many calories you burn and how many you consume.
I’m not ruling out integrating third-party intake data into Calor in the future to show your overall energy balance, I think that could be really interesting and useful for people.
