Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m incredibly excited to introduce GrabThat, a natural language launcher for Windows.
I am a civil engineer by trade. Every single day, I deal with a mountain of files, folders, websites, and design resources, which means I have to switch contexts constantly. When I finally moved past asking, "What is one repeatable part of work that I can automate?" and started asking, "Fundamentally, where do I lose time each day?", the answer was obvious.
I was losing seconds with every single interaction. But more importantly, the mental fatigue of having to remember where all of my digital resources were saved was draining. Compound that across my team—constantly asking each other, "Where can I get this?"—and I knew I had to solve this pain point for myself.
While I know there are other similar products on the market, I couldn't find any that actually let you train your PC to work in natural language. That is what makes GrabThat different.
The real breakthrough for this project came from a very personal place: teaching my autistic son to read is actually what gave me the idea for the core algorithm. It has been such a fun project to bring to life.
