If I don't check in, how does it know exactly where I am in a dense city? I.e. how does it know if I'm at a barbershop, or the dive bar next-door? Also, if I do happen to want to check in, is there an Apple Watch app?

Looks great, have been in search of such an app... I downloaded Fabric which was hunted few weeks ago, which does a good job at tracking but I wasn't too happy with the browsing part of my visited places. What I need is not a Pocket-way of just saving URLs which I end up never viewing, but a Google Photos-way of not only saving my content, but also showing me this collage of the places I've been to in the past when I visit a city. I'll try this out now..

I love the design of this product, reminds me a lot of the discountinued Snips assistant beta (that I still use and love). IMPOV it misses a search engine to be able to parse what happened in the past.
@david_senate hello again ;) the Search is one of our priority! Its not in the product for now because it needs some data to be relevant, however we work on that too! :)
Hi, looks really nice. Funny to see how these types of products are coming back after they have been tried at least 3 years ago. I remember overtale, memolane and a few others. I always liked them, hope you make it.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Google Location History yet. This sounds very similar but more private and suits those who don't trust Google or any corporation to track them.
If you have an Android phone or Google app installed in an iPhone, most likely your 'Timeline' is already tracked. Check out if you have any activity in desktop Google Maps -> Hamburger Menu -> Timeline.
