caricature.life started from a simple frustration. Every time I wanted a clean, minimalist caricature, I hit gated websites asking for logins, emails, and unclear privacy trade-offs. I built caricature.life to be the opposite. π No logins or signups π No tracking or stored photos β¨ No watermarks Upload a photo, generate your avatar, download it, and leave. Your face stays yours. Lifetime free and community supported β

Nice idea and congratulations on keeping it free! I do think it can be refined more. because I tried it on mobile and browse picture button was stuck, after changing the browser it worked. Then i tried it on laptop and it said "exceeded quota". Not sure if you have IP limiting or actual AI quota is exceeded but i do recommend implementing both IP and browser fingerprint limiting and also try to compress pictures before sending them to AI so you don`t use so many tokens and avoid quota exceeding.
Awesome. I love it. Also like the simplicity of use. One question... do you have any plans to perhaps offer different styles as well as (perhaps) colour or will it always be rooted in line drawings?
Actually, strike that thought. With image AI so prevalent I just took the charicature and had a conversation with an AI about giving it some colour while retaining the essence of the caricature. The result of that is here.
It would be even better if it weren't limited to human portraits. I really wanted to create a cartoon portrait of my cat, but after uploading it, I found it didn't look the same. I hope this feature can be developed. Overall, I really like itοΌ
Appreciate the thought and the art style. I did try it a few times, but I wasnβt happy with the selfie I was choosing. The part that it does not track, no account required and all of that is not true. I received an error from saying I had used my daily limit and it had been around 16 hours since I had been to the site, etc.. I tried even a different browser, same experience.

This resonates a lot. The βjust let me generate and leaveβ approach is surprisingly rare now.
As a builder, I really appreciate the intentional restraint here β no accounts, no dark patterns, no vague privacy promises. For something as personal as a face photo, that trust-first design choice matters more than extra features.
Honestly feels like one of those tools people will quietly bookmark and keep using for years. Nice work keeping it simple and respectful of users. π
it is so good. Congrats!!!
