👋 Hey everyone, I'm Caleb, the maker of Carry. 📖 Story I created Carry to give people more control of their money. When my parents hired caregivers to take care of my elderly grandparents, they would take out cash for groceries and hand it to the caregiver. Unfortunately, some caregivers took advantage of this and the cash wasn't spent where it should be. Carry changes this. 🤔The Problem There's no way to share money and stay in control. Giving money to caregivers, babysitters, and contractors is still clunky for several reasons: 1) Sharing money requires complete trust of people you barely know. 2) You don't really know where your money was spent. 3) Reimbursing people is a burden on them, especially in 2020. 3) Taking out cash is inconvenient. Where are the ATMs anyway? 👉 Features Carry aims to solve this and add value in a few ways: - 💰Create multiple reloadable wallets - 👥 Share your money with only the people you choose for as long as you choose. - 🔒You retain control and lock it to the stores they can pay, such as only grocery or hardware stores. - 💳 People you share it with receive a virtual or physical debit card, so it can be used anywhere Visa and Mastercard are accepted 🔥 Use Cases - Caregivers: Setup a virtual card for them to buy groceries and run errands for your loved one. Reload it every week. - Contractors: Set aside funds for materials and supplies, locked to hardware stores. - College students: Reloadable gas card.
