Hi Product Hunt 👋 I fish, and I was sick of logging catches in a notes app in the rain. CastLog does it in three taps: photo → AI names the species (and estimates weight/length from the photo alone) → logged with location, weather, pressure and moon phase attached automatically. It knows 500k+ named waters across the US and UK, plans trips from your log + the live forecast, and works offline at the bank. Free to download with 5 AI IDs included — would love to hear what fellow anglers think.

A buddy of mine fishes a ton on the Great Lakes and he's always complaining about ice fishing support being basically nonexistent in apps like this. Would love to see a cold weather mode in CastLog that tracks hole depth, ice thickness, and under-ice sonar readings. Could be a real differentiator since half his season happens on frozen water.

Took it out on a quick session and the species ID was spot on from a blurry phone shot. Weight estimate felt close to what I usually guesstimate too. Would love to see lure recommendations get more region-specific.

The auto-fill for weather and conditions when you log a catch is genuinely clever, saves so much faffing about after a long day on the bank.
