Update: As of 2300UTC last night the plugin will no longer work on Twitter. Tweet up to 280 characters using the new Twitter cramming feature, which otherwise is only available to limited users.

@td_evans not sure what I'm doing wrong. The counter stays at 140 but the red highlight appears once I cross that number. Trying to reinstall.

@td_evans @nivo0o0 I'm pretty sure there is a problem in the implementation, you patch the initial data on page load and because the Twitter code is loaded asynchronously it could read the JSON that you modify before you do it. Consider my extension that uses MutationObserver which guarantees that the experiment is enabled before Twitter reads it: https://www.producthunt.com/post...

@andreaskroepfl Indeed it is, although this was only available to certain users. This extensions (now patched) changed the front-end feature flag to enable it for everyone.
