Chirpz finds, reads, and ranks academic papers for you — instantly. It searches across research databases and brings back the best matches with citations and metadata, right where you write.

Chirpz
@raviginfo Thanks Ravi. Really glad it resonates with you! 🚀

Congrats Sina! Chirpz hits a real pain point. Context-aware /Cite inside a focused notebook to surface ranked papers and insert citations without tab hopping sounds dreamy for Related Work sprints. How broad are the sources at launch, and can we add our own libraries?
Chirpz
Thanks a ton @alexcloudstar ! You nailed it — that’s exactly the pain point Chirpz was built to solve.
At launch, Chirpz pulls mainly from Arxiv (especially for AI and computer science topics) and Semantic Scholar or OpenAlex for broader domains. The AI also intelligently routes to the most relevant database based on your research context and what you're writing — so you always get the best possible set of papers without any setup.
We’re also working on integrating other domain-specific databases like PubMed and similar sources. And yes — adding personal or institutional libraries is definitely on our radar for an upcoming update. 🚀

Smart use case for AI. Citation hunting is one of those tedious tasks that eats hours.
How does it handle more obscure sources? Like if someone's researching niche B2B topics or older industry publications that might not be well-indexed?
Chirpz
@ansh_deb Great question — and totally agree, citation hunting is one of those time sinks that AI can really transform. ⚡️
For niche or less-indexed topics, Chirpz pairs perfectly with our Deep Research Agent — a complementary tool that can deep search any topic (including B2B or industry-specific areas) and generate detailed research reports. It also comes with a chat interface so you can interact directly with your agent to refine and expand findings.
We’re also exploring the option to define custom search windows — for example, limiting results to older papers or specific publication years — which we’ll roll out if our user community finds it valuable. 🚀
Congrats on the Chirpz AI launch, Sina! Uncovering unknown citations is a huge challenge in research. Curious how the AI handles differentiating between truly relevant citations and ones that might just share keywords? Accuracy seems key here.
Chirpz
@amidstthemist Thanks so much! You’re absolutely right — accuracy is everything when it comes to citation discovery.
Chirpz goes beyond keyword matching by analyzing the semantic meaning and context of your writing. Instead of just scanning for similar terms, it understands what you’re actually discussing — your research intent, methods, and focus — and ranks papers based on contextual relevance. This helps surface citations that genuinely support your argument, not just those that happen to share a few keywords.
Curious, do you see any value in adding explainability in any form, maybe a chat interface to ask the agent more about each paper?
@sina_tayebati Thanks so much for the detailed explanation, Sina! Analyzing semantic meaning makes total sense for getting truly relevant citations – much smarter than just keywords.
Re: explainability – yes, absolutely! I could see a chat interface being incredibly valuable for users to quickly dig deeper into why a specific paper was recommended or get summaries. Great idea.
Separately, your journey building Chirpz sounds really interesting. Is X/Twitter DM or email generally best to connect briefly for a different question related to founder stories for my podcast, Amidst The Mist (@amidstthemistt)?
Chirpz
@amidstthemistt thanks for your feedback Henry.

I like your product!

@mark_opanasiuk Thanks Mark 🚀
Chirpz
@howell4change Haha, that’s quite the compliment — I’ll take it! 😆
Chirpz is definitely aiming to make research discovery faster and smoother — no endless tabs, no clunky search. Just smart, context-aware citations right where you write. 🚀
