Stop googling for a solution and just use this. This is likely exactly what you need. Clerk helps you avoid the hassle of having to deal with authentication both on the BE and the FE. It is not worth opting for another free/open-source solution as the free tier on Clerk is quite generous and will help you get started.

When we started building the auth feature at @Bucket — the first interaction you have with a product — we wanted to make it a great first-time experience. Above all, we wanted a seamless, secure, and beautifully crafted login experience. We also needed a solution that is easy to maintain and scales with our needs.

We considered @WorkOS as an option, a mature and feature-rich auth provider. However, we didn't feel 100% confident about their pricing structure and their per-connection SAML costs in particular.

We initially began building user management in-house but quickly realized that creating a secure and seamless user experience involved more complexity than anticipated. It was clear that continuing down this path would pull valuable engineering resources away from our core product. Clerk provided a comprehensive solution, covering everything from account life cycle to payment integration.
