That's just fantastic, guys. I worked for 4 years in Amazon as a product manager and BI engineer. Cost-wise, super long and inefficient queries were always my nightmare indeed. Finance and engineering need to be super aligned on the topic. A great solution for a great problem!

Congratulations - and amazing product! This is badly needed and bottom-up approach is spot-on. Not only at large cos (we struggled to keep costs under control at Palantir and Fitbit) but at startups as well, especially when they run out of free credits there's suddenly panic but no way to know what's needed and what's not. Metrics with low lag and high resolution are key.

@skaymen Cannot be said better, Stanley! I believe that if all the companies out there get the right tools to become cost efficient in the cloud, and if cloud vendors drive down their outrageous margins (8000% is insane: https://blog.cloudflare.com/aws-...), the society as a whole will win big. It is not just IT people who suffer, but everyone pays indirectly through various IT-powered services consumed (pretty much everything out there).
