Trying to venture into something new or learn something different by yourself is difficult. Co.Lab combined the accountability aspects of in-person learning with the flexibility and convenience of online courses! Looking forward to taking more classes on Co.Lab Learning and make new friends a long the way!
@munin_kim +1 to keeping peers accountable! Learning does not have to be rote - let's keep learning engaging and fun!

It's been amazing seeing this evolve from a bootcamp to the platform being launched today, wishing the Co.Lab team nothing but the best and can't wait to see how this continues to evolve!!
@demilade_olagoke Thank you so much Demi! Our early adopters mean SO MUCH to us! We can only grow thus far because of y'all!

As a non-techie, breaking into tech is such a struggle and creating a virtual, hands-on product that provides flexible learning opportunities for people globally is an amazing feat! Super excited to see how this grows!✨
@aoyawoye Thanks for this! We wanted to scale our bootcamp program - where we were able to graduate over 400 non-traditional / career-shifter students, with many of them getting roles at many top tech companies!
With Co.Learn, we're hoping to expand our reach and help others find good opportunities in teh tech industry! Would love to have you over Azeezat!

Trying to learn something new or attempting to pivot career paths/industries can be challenging to do by yourself. Keeping a community of like-minded people is important, especially after a bootcamp program. The community here at Co.Lab has been very open and friendly for all who join and are genuinely interested in growing and learning (together). I myself have been trying to learn more about Product Management and being able to read/understand other people's experiences during and after the Co.Lab program shows how much they've been able to learn/grow. The makers (@herenhuang@sefunmioshy )of Co.Lab are also very engaged in the growth/improvement of the community and content.
@sefunmioshy@ctr1 Calvin!! Thanks for the early adopter's support - we really appreciate the energy and support! Would be very excited to what project you'd build on our Ship a Product course!
This is a great initiative, @herenhuang and @sefunmioshy — excited for everything ahead! I'm super glad this idea brings all the tech enthusiasts forward and makes them believe in their potential. Go #YouBelongInTech! :)
@sefunmioshy@aishwarya_ashok Thanks!! We want to build a platform where big and small creators alike are given the spotlight! Hoping we're able to bring the changes that we envision!
@berthakgokong That's great! Would love to have you on our platform!

The classes I learned from the most in college were the ones that I worked with others, whether it be checking answers on homework, studying for exams, or working on a group project. Seeing how other people approach a problem and working through it together was the best way to make the content stick. There were also the extra learnings that come with communicating and coordinating with a group that are often overlooked but important.
Most MOOCs lack this inherently social aspect to learning - even if they have online forums and breakout groups, it's not the same. Co.Lab's courses are the perfect sweet spot of hybrid flexibility and scale without compromising engagement, learning, and the social environments.
