Volley has absolutely revolutionized the coaching space in 2022. I run a large coaching business in my industry and it has given me the ability to push my entire industry towards more innovative practices within asynchronous learning and coaching. We have been an early adopter of Volley and love using it. Why async; why volley? Here’s what Volley has done for me: 1) eliminated meetings. You can meet or consult on your own time. One example in my case: daily stand up has become a time to genuinely check in with the team… not a task mastering session. 2) made conversations real. When you look someone in the eye (or in the camera), you use your true essence to get your idea across. Since it’s async, you don’t have to rush. You even get a do-over, if you need it. 3) avoided delays. Since meetings aren’t required to fit around everyone’s schedule, things ACTUALLY get done faster. In my team, this has meant (even today, just a few minutes ago!) that the email campaign got sent today, NOT tomorrow. 4) inspired me. Once I got to see how amazing this form of communication was, I became inspired, on “vision” level, and saw how a better-communicated world could look if we all leaned into Volley.
