Considering GSMA's Mobile Connect's launch, this is bad timing for this. But better a startup then some telecom coalition, eh?

@withcopper Nice idea, but what if I'm skeptical about a website and don't want to give away my phone number? Do you know most people (like me) are okay to share the email addresses but won't give phone numbers because those are our privacy. We'll only give the numbers when told a reason like amazon asks to send us courier updates.
I won't be signing up to a website which asks my mobile where I'm not sure what they do with my number. :(
As you have never mentioned specifically about mobile in your product, You could try the same with "Email" also.

I'm always excited by attempts to move beyond passwords. In looking at the FAQ, I think you will need to support the transferring from past phone number to a new one sooner than later:
"I got a new mobile number. How do I transfer my old account to my new number?
We don’t currently have an ability to transfer accounts. There are some thorny security issues to work through. We think about it from time to time so watch this space."

I look forward to trying this out! I was just saying to myself, we need a better way to signup users and loggin them into applications, then boom..product hunt to e rescue.😀👍 Have anyone integrated this with a rails app? Good luck and I hope this is a successful project!
