@robertthomas2 As content creators ourselves, we figure that we don't really care much about "copyright". We care about "authorship" and being fairly rewarded when our content is used. The idea of content ownership is built on the premise that creators need to be incentivized by ownership to create. However, almost all great creations are passion-driven and based on the creator' vocation to create. So maybe it's time to change the "copyright" game :)

I get that it's all about letting creators own their content and make those connections without relying on profit-sharing, but isn't calling it "decentralized" just a buzzword here, what guarantees do we have that it's actually going to be different from other platforms, I'd like to see more concrete examples of how it will work in practice, how do we prevent it from getting overrun with low-quality content

@devfocususer Thank you for asking this! We are decentralized because: 1. We are on our way to becoming fully open-source and fully on-chain 2. We'll have a governance token for content curation in the network 3. We're creating a browser extension for content published on different platforms and websites to also connect to this network. So we disable ourselves from becoming a gatekeeping platform. How do we prevent low-quality content? Also three part: 1. We focus on the right group of people to begin with and grow from there. 2. Curation is peer-to-peer. Every "source" can curate its own "branches. Or you can also create a "space" to only include content you see fit. A space is like a mini-platform. 3. Exposure in this network is linked with content consumption. Low-quality content usually don't get paid.

I'm skeptical about this whole decentralized publishing platform thing, it sounds cool on paper but how many people will actually use it, plus the idea of content addressing each other as sources seems super confusing, hope it doesn't end up being another overhyped flop, good luck though

Looks cool, but a bit skeptical here, how do you make sure content creators really own the platform, what's stopping big companies from taking over eventually, also, does it really encourage meaningful connections or just link dumping, hope you guys have a solid plan for quality control, would love to hear more

What is one article or video that completely changed your perspective?

We all have that one piece of content an article, a talk, a thread that genuinely changed how we think about something.

For me it was "1,000 True Fans" by Kevin Kelly. The idea that you don't need millions of followers to build a sustainable creative career completely shifted how I think about building audiences. It is also one of the core ideas behind Copus helping people build real, engaged communities around the content they care about.

What would you save if you could only keep 10 bookmarks?

Thought experiment: if you had to delete all your bookmarks and could only keep 10, which ones would survive?

I think the answer reveals a lot about what we actually value vs what we mindlessly save. Most of us have hundreds or thousands of saved links we will never revisit.
