You receive your timestamped receipt instantly as soon as you upload a file, meaning your authorship is protected right away.
As for blockchain recording, we write proofs to the Polygon Mainnet on a scheduled basis, currently set to every 5 minutes. If you check back later and re-download your receipt, it will contain the updated blockchain reference once it's recorded.

1️⃣ Unique Cryptographic Hashing – When you upload a file, SecureAuthor generates a unique hash (fingerprint) of the file’s content. Even a tiny change in the file would produce a completely different hash, ensuring authenticity.
2️⃣ Immutable Blockchain Record – This hash is then securely recorded on the Polygon Mainnet, a public blockchain. Since blockchain records cannot be altered or deleted, your proof remains permanently verifiable.
3️⃣ Independent Verification – Anyone (including you) can verify a file’s authenticity by simply re-uploading it. SecureAuthor recalculates the hash locally on your device and checks it against the recorded proof—without ever exposing your content.
