How does Covalent handle sensitive or confidential information that appears on screen while continuously monitoring and building its knowledge graph?

@mordrag Great question; privacy was a core design constraint from day one. Everything is processed locally on your Mac first: we use screenshots, OCR, DOM data, and browser context to build the knowledge graph, not just raw screenshots floating to a cloud. When we do call AI providers for action suggestions, they're under zero-retention agreements (no training on your data). And you're always in control: you can pause Covalent from the menu bar anytime, or exclude specific apps you don't want it learning from. Sensitive context never leaves without you knowing. @denious Local-first by design. We don't just send screenshots: we process OCR, DOM data, and browser context on-device to build the knowledge graph. AI providers we use have zero-retention policies, so nothing trains on your data. You can also stop Covalent from the menu bar anytime, or exclude specific apps you're not comfortable with. You stay in control the whole time. Happy to answer more questions!

Why we built this:
AI tools promised to save time. Instead, you spend it copy-pasting context between windows, crafting the perfect prompt, and hoping it works. Every tool call is manual. Every context switch resets you.
For PMs this is 10x worse - you live across Slack, Linear, docs, and calls simultaneously. By the time you've assembled enough context to prompt AI, you could've just done the task yourself.
We built Covalent because the problem isn't the AI, it's the interface. A chat window that waits for you to feed it context will always create friction. We flipped it: Covalent watches your screen, builds context automatically, and acts before you even open a prompt.
That's the thesis. No more hail mary prompts.
