This is a small service I wrote to send daily emails to users about the COVID-19 numbers in their area. For instance, if you live in San Francisco, you can get info daily about the numbers within the city, and the total numbers worldwide.

It seems like there's information about COVID-19 coming at us from all angles, and to combat this, I wrote a small tool for myself to get recent numbers without a ton of noise. I pull new data daily from John Hopkins University, and the entire project took 3-4 hours to build. After talking to a few friends about it, decided to release it to the world, and spent another hour adding the subscribe/unsubscribe functionality. I'm hoping to eventually turn this type of application into something bigger - giving people additional sources of information leads to really powerful systems being built.
