Iβd be curious to hear some of the issues that you guys faced in the past which motivated you to create this? On one hand I can imagine that this can boost motivation amongst team members, but on the other hand I imagine it might be difficult to track how well this idea is actually working.
@lloydjanes my and Anton's concern was how to keep everyone feel appreciated within the team. As we were growing, we have noticed that it keeping an appreciation level is becoming challenging. Thus, we have started working on the initial concepts for Crowdbonus, which further developed into the current platform. But you are right, it is quite tricky to track quantitatively the impact. The best way to go is to conduct employees welfare survey/ feedback sessions, thus you can asses better the impact.

Sounds like a great platform to encourage employees and keep them motivated. This is even more crucial since most of us are working from home. Congrats @ivan_zenkovich
@ivan_zenkovich@rajan_ramachandran Hey! I can tell that once the system triggers "Bonuses Calculated" email - everybody rushes to see their own bonuses and browse through the company board awards. You can see awards of everybody and why these were given, but can not see who and how much.

@ivan_zenkovich@rajan_ramachandran@antons_sapriko Sounds cool, Just one question though, what if people decide to exploit the system. What if they collide and share rewards without doing anything extra. Do you have a check in place for spotting such things.
@ivan_zenkovich@rajan_ramachandran@antons_sapriko good question! We were testing large data sets for this, checking circular reward models and also circular rewards in time e.g. Bob sends to Alice this month, Alice sends to Peter next month, and Peter sends to Bob third month. Also, checked simple ones like you to me and me to you within the same month... We did not find any traces of such behaviour - the bonus is not that big, in our company it used to be around $80 / month, so people really want to use it honestly. I think this app also tells loudly to the team - "Hey guys, we trust you!" and this is an awesome things in itself.
Sounds like a great idea for a team for over-achievers!
Could you please tell me how it works in your company - are there any team members that work on important tasks that aren't necessarily noticeable by other team members (for instance, accounting)? What if they don't get any rewards but not because of their performance but rather because they're not on the frontline? How do you solve this? Maybe I'm missing something.
Otherwise, sounds like a great product!
Nice! I kicked a concept like this around with some Product mgr colleagues at a big company with out of touch managers always awarding small bonuses too late to prevent attrition... who knows who deserves bonuses the most? Peers!
I do wonder if there's some level of performative-ness with it and/or tit for tat schemes or piling on and exclusionary cultures becoming more so with financial outcomes added to social ones. Have you observed any of these or have guidelines for mitigating them?
Hi there! Glad to be here! CrowdBonus was happening internally in our company for many years in forms of spreadsheets, then we made an app for it, which was made public about a year ago. It is the most loved bonus system in our company for more than 10 years and is scoring the same love among the ones, who setup CrowdBonus for their teams. Try it - your team will LOVE IT!
@ivan_zenkovich Good to hear your feedback, one of the advantages I liked to use CB in my team - it is not invasive. It has few notifications and while you can reward people all months long, the culmination is in the end of the month. Also, it is something tangible, not virtual coins / tokens.
@anyfactor Well, the top beneficiaries of the app are developers, so hope really is REALLY!
