Absolutely thrilled to have another place to collaborate with other creative individuals. I've been a part of several really inspiring facebook groups for women in illustration and comics, but it can be exceptionally hard to actually collaborate and gain critique with others on the FB platform.
Thank you all for making this! Have there been any projects you've seen come out from your daisie 100 that have really inspired you? Are there projects you've been able to work on that you never expected to enjoy before building this app and collaborating with others?
@dawnmicaela Amazing, Micaela! Thank you so much for reaching out. I completely agree with the first point, and have never felt completely comfortable sharing work specific content exclusively on a single social platform.
The daisie100 was an incredible experience, for everyone at daisie. Seeing creators feel so liberated by the process, that they visited London for the first time (some had never been on a plane before) - in order to make it to our meetup and share their stories with the rest of the community. We are seeing incredible projects begin to be built and are expecting more and more to be made as we invite new creators to sign-up. Really looking forward to seeing you on daisie, please reach out when you get an account! My username is @maisie 😁
@maisiewilliams Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I'm thrilled to hear that other artists found liberation in a creator-focused app. I can't wait to try it out, and connect with other creatives. Thank you all for making daisie! Cheers!
Hi @maisiewilliams!
Congrats on the launch!
Obligatory question: is the Android app on your road map for the near future?
As a young and creative person, excited to try the app, but sadly don't have an iPhone.
@maisiewilliams great to hear it. Keep up the good work!
Wonder if it is exciting for you to launch the app on ProductHunt for the first time?
I've recently launched an app too, wonderful experience!
Hello @domsantry@timnovis and @maisiewilliams,
I'm loving your reason for getting rid of the follower count. How will user's be ranked when others go to search for them in-app (engagement, post frequency, etc?) How will I discover the best creatives for myself to work with organically?
Also, being a creative network, protecting a creative's work seems very important. What will you be doing differently in terms of copyright protection and stopping users from stealing other's work?
Thanks!
@imdaeshawn Hey Daeshawn! Users will be ranked on search results based on the number of projects, mutual chains & location.
In terms of copyrighting, we're really focused on the original inspiration which we hope will actively inspire collaboration, rather than encouraging stealing. If users are empowered enough to create together organically and share their vision for other creators projects, with no boundaries/isolation from particular creative industries, there will be no need to rip content.
@domsantry Awesome! Sounds like feeding the ecosystem organically will be a really rewarding experience. Thanks so much for your time and answer. I'll be sure to check this out.
Love the idea behind this! Can PH community get bumped up the waitlist? 👀 @timnovis@domsantry@maisiewilliams there are currently 10,982 people ahead of me 😭
@abadesi Hey @Abadesi ! We'll definitely get PH some codes to skip the queue. We're just letting the creators that are on daisie right now figure out their chains and content and then we're going to be inviting the wider community in (slowly)! 🌼
Hi @maisiewilliams nice tot see that you're actively supporting the creative industrie in an innovative way. That's what I call "making meaning"!
I'm really looking forward to experience the app and the service.
Question: As I moved away from visual concepts to more text based concepts/ideas/strategies, I wonder if Daisie is also for my kind of creatives.
What are your thoughts on that?
p.s. It would be great if PH'ers could get a "fastpass" 😊

This sounds like an incredibly promising idea but I see that it is currently iOS only. Are there any plans for a desktop or Android versions in the future?
@joelenemarie Hey Joelene, both of these are on our roadmap for release in the next 6-12 months. Keep an eye out!

Hello Maisie, how well do you think this will succeed and how so? I love the idea of it and I’m definitely going to use the app! Also was is hard to get this all together? Bet it’s exciting now it’s released!
