Your photo… starts dancing. Upload a photo, pick a dance, and get a short video that feels alive. No waiting around — generation runs in the background. Close the app, come back later, and your video is ready. Use built-in templates or upload your own motion for more creative freedom. Works with any kind of input — from fun and casual to more expressive ideas.

Hey everyone 👋
I built DanceMe as a small, focused tool to turn photos into short dance videos — without friction.
The goal was simple:
• pick a motion
• upload a photo
• get a result that actually feels alive
Instead of forcing real-time generation, I designed it more like a render:
you start it, close the app, and come back when it’s ready.
This allowed me to push for better quality while keeping the experience simple.
You can also bring your own dance clip and reuse its motion, which opens up a lot of creative use cases.
Curious what you think — especially about the results and overall feel 🙏
Villson feels more like a general AI hub with access to many models. It’s powerful, but not really focused on a single use case.
Pose AI has a lot more templates, which is great. But more options don’t always mean a better experience - especially for casual users.
With DanceMe, I’m intentionally taking a different approach: → one clear use case (turn a photo into a dance video) → minimal friction → clean, smooth UI that feels native to iOS
As an indie dev, I’m focusing on doing one thing really well instead of trying to do everything.
Sometimes a small, focused product built by one person can outpace bigger apps - just by being simpler, faster, and more intentional.
Still early, but improving quality and UX with each iteration 🙌

Congrats on the launch. This looks fun. There are a lot of apps like this, so the competition must be pretty intense , what do you think is your advantage?

@hyelang18941 Thanks! Yeah, competition is definitely intense. My advantage is that I’m building this solo, so I can iterate fast and optimise the workflow heavily for the best price/quality balance. I’m also focusing on flexibility - for example, you can upload your own videos and reuse their motion, which I didn’t really see in other apps.

why its better than Pose AI or Villson?
@dmitrydiachenko Great question - I actually checked both.
