We've spent the last few months building Genie, an AI analyst inside Databox. Tomorrow it goes live on Product Hunt.
The short version: you ask a question about your data in plain language, Genie finds the right metrics, runs the analysis, and returns an answer with a chart in seconds. No SQL, no waiting on someone else.
If you've been following along in this forum, thank you the conversations here genuinely shaped how we think about the product.
We go live at midnight PT. If you want to support the launch, the one thing that matters most: make sure you have a Product Hunt account before midnight. Votes from accounts created on launch day carry much less weight in the algorithm.

@tommyismyname , thank you! I'd be happy to give you a product tour if you like
Super proud to be part of the team behind this.
As a sales consultant, I’m always careful about what I recommend vs. what I actually use. Genie is both.
Use it every week, not just in demos 😄
Huge congrats to everyone who made this happen.
Big day for us at Databox 🚀
After about a year of building behind the scenes, we’re officially launching!
I’ve been working on Genie from day one, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see it evolve from an idea into a product that helps teams actually understand why their numbers move not just what changed.
Super proud of the team and excited to see how people use it.
Interesting direction. Turning dashboards into something you can actually ask questions to and get clear explanations from makes a lot of sense. I like that Genie focuses on answering “why” instead of just showing metrics.

@vik_sh you put your finger on exactly the core design decision we made - "why" instead of just "what."
Dashboards have always been great at showing you what happened. But the moment something moves, the next question is always why - and that's where the real work used to start. Digging through multiple sources, correlating data, forming a hypothesis. Genie collapses that gap.
The "why" is where decisions actually get made. Glad that came through clearly! 🙏
