Looks super interesting, tried it out. However most numbers are calculated over a 12 month period. If you started at a company less than a year ago the stats unfortunately become meaningless. Would be good to set a start date...

@thomasleiterman Actually if your calendar is less than 12 months we detect that and shorten the amount of time we pull so all the stats are still good. That said we don't update the text with anything fancy to say we were only able to look at 4 months.

@bwb Thanks for the reply :) I just double checked again and you show results for Q1 2019 for my calendar - but I did not join my current company until June 2019... How do you detect the start? I'm pretty sure I got invited to calendar series that started earlier, so maybe thats the reason... My first 1on1 meeting could be a good starting point, maybe

@thomasleiterman Yep, any chance your company invited you to a recurring meeting when you joined :)? The problem we see is that that populates the past with that recurring meeting make it nearly impossible for us to see when you actually started. And, we try to request from google's api when your start date is but sometimes permissions are setup so we can't get that. Let me know if you go backwards in your calendar if recurring meetings show up as that throws our app a little since it looks like you have been there for a while :)

@bwb Yep, I definitely have a recurring meeting that dates back longer... Would it be an idea to use my first meeting with only myself and ONE other person? Even if those are recurring, the chances that they date back longer before I was there are quite slim...

@bwb this report is amazing!! I like this... "Deep Work requires a minimum of 90 minutes of uninterrupted time. It is the wide open time you need to do your best work and get in a flow state." Personally I feel that caffeine prohibits my focus time. Herbal tea and headphones are a big help to get that meaningful work done.

@ninau Yep, we divide everyone into either a maker or a manager (ie, a maker someone who is focused on building and a manager is someone focused on people management). For the compare with co-worker page that is compared to your co-worker averages inside those group and for the company comparison that is comparing you to the global maker/manager averages and then your company averages to global company averages. We would love to compare specific titles but when we played with that it seemed very hard, it might be something we try to do as we get more data and can safely anonymize that.

@quentin_g Yep we have to make some assumptions, we assume that the average salary of all the attendees is $105,000 USD and generate the stats that way.

@quentin_g @bwb you could have an option for users to *optionally* identify their salary bracket to give more useful stats, e.g. 60-75K, 75-90K etc. if this proves to be statistically significant. I would be curious to see how this may also be used to identify pay inequities, again using optional identifiers.

@quentin_g @ninau Yep good point, it was also a bit harder as we count not only the primary person's salary but other attendees. So it is a bit of a fun guess either way since we assume that salary for all the other attendees over the past year.

@dennis_dang :), we would love to integrate with email / slack, as then we could look at how often you went to check email and when you got pinged on slack to add that as an activity. Then we could even better show how much deep work you are getting without interruption.
