Why I made this app: I've discovered that while I generally know which foods are healthy versus unhealthy, logging every calorie consumed is extremely time-consuming. The precise calorie count isn't actually what matters most to me - what I really want is a system that helps prevent me from eating junk food. My breakthrough came when I realized I could flip the process: instead of recording food after eating, I input what I plan to eat beforehand. This provides immediate inspirational feedback that actually helps me make healthier choices. By confronting my food decisions before eating rather than just documenting them afterward, I've successfully reduced my junk food consumption. This proactive approach has been much more effective at changing my behavior than the reactive documentation method.
