Hey creators and builders!
Youth sports are supposed to be about mentorship, skill-building, and having fun. But most volunteer coaches aren't pros they're busy parents trying their best with limited time to plan practices or figure out how to keep 8-year-olds engaged.
When designing Dingerly AI, we wanted to put an expert assistant in the pocket of every coach and parent to help supercharge player development without adding to their workload.
I want to open up a discussion on the intersection of youth sports and tech:
Drop your thoughts below! Let s talk about how tech can support the next generation of athletes.
Honestly the dual focus is what got me interested, but it would be really useful if you could upload game footage alongside practice clips so the AI can flag mechanics stuff that actually breaks down under pressure.
@orla_pace Thank you for the support. This is a really good suggestion. We are reviewing how we can potentially incorporate this feature. The challenge is that game recordings are very dynamic and from variable distances. This makes it harder for AI to accurately analyze the video.
Love that it covers both sides of the game, that alone makes it stand out from the usual hitting-only apps. One thing I'd love to see is in-app video trimming or timestamp markers so you can tag the exact moment of release or contact, then jump straight to the AI feedback for that frame instead of scrubbing through every upload. Would make catching small mechanical fixes way faster.
@adela_hal Hey Sophie, thank you so much for the support. We have implemented the exact feature you are referring to. The analysis provides a breakdown with timestamps, and when the player clicks on it, they can jump directly to that event.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the creator of Dingerly, and this launch is incredibly close to my heart.
About two years ago, my son fell in love with baseball. As someone who spent years playing a lot of cricket, I figured I could easily help him out. I was wrong. Baseball mechanics are an entirely different beast, and I quickly realized I couldn't give him the guidance he needed.
Naturally, I looked into private lessons—but they got incredibly expensive, incredibly fast.
💡 The "Aha!" Moment
Determined to help him improve, I started recording slow-motion videos of his swings and pitches. I began feeding those videos into AI models to analyze exactly what he was doing right and where his mechanics were breaking down. The depth of feedback was mind-blowing.
That was the spark for Dingerly. I wanted to take this elite, high-tech feedback and put it in the pocket of every parent, player, and coach on the planet—without the elite price tag.
⚾ What makes Dingerly different?
We realized the existing options on the market were missing the mark, so we built Dingerly to be different:
The Dual Threat: While almost every baseball app out there only coaches hitting, Dingerly is the only AI coach built for both hitting and pitching.
4-Angle Video Analysis: We built a first-of-its-kind 4-angle analysis engine. To truly understand a player's biomechanics, you need to see the movement from every perspective.
Actionable Progress: You don't just get data; you get instant, pro-level biomechanical feedback, personalized drill recommendations, and historical progress tracking.
Whether you're a parent helping your kid in the backyard, a high school player aiming for college scouts, or a coach managing a roster, Dingerly was built for you.
We are officially live today! I would love to hear your thoughts, answer any questions, and get your feedback.
Parents & Coaches: What is the hardest mechanical flaw you struggle to teach or fix?
Product community: What features would you love to see us integrate next?
Let's hit some dingers! 🚀⚾
Finally an app that doesn't ignore pitching. Tried it with a side view of my son's curveball and the drill suggestions were spot on for his arm slot.
@aliyahdawsppvg thank you for the support.
Pazi
Such a promising launch—congrats on Dingerly AI! AI-powered baseball coach in your pocket is a clever idea. Wishing you a strong Product Hunt day! 🚀
@zvonimir_sabljic1 thank you for the support. This is very close to our hearts. Our son fell in love with baseball, and we just needed something that could help him every day.
