Ieuan from Ubik AI - we have looked and tested DOCANALYZERAI, but it is different and basic in comparison. Agents cannot make in-file (on the actual PDF) highlights, just page referencing, which isn't enhanced OCR at all. Ubik Agents can highlight text down to the line. Pic 1 - DOCANALYZERAI -- pic 2: UbikAI. With real enhanced OCR and Agentic Searching tools, Ubik is the best AI PDF analysis tool and research studio.
Ubik is built entirely in-house, and we are building a custom eval suite, which we will publish soon. We would love more feedback, and it will also be launched on Product Hunt today! https://www.producthunt.com/products/ubik-studio?launch=ubik-studio

Thanks for giving docAnalyzer a try! Calling us “basic” might be a bit reductionist — I think what you’re really pointing to is that we take a different approach. Our focus has been on speed, scalability, multi-document conversations, workflow automation, and API flexibility, while it looks like your strength is in annotation and reference systems.
No single tool will cover every feature the same way, and that’s a good thing — it means users have real choice in the market. We’re excited to see more innovation in this space. I’ll check out Ubik later this week and share feedback since you invited me.

@christophe_le_bars Basic def was probably the wrong word -- I was referring to the referencing aspect when citing in chat. DOCANALYZER is a great tool, just had a bunch of reactions to it because we are in the same space <3 Sorry didn't mean to be rude -- think the product looks and feels great!
I’ve been using docAnalyzer for almost a year now, and honestly, I can’t imagine doing research without it anymore. What used to take me endless hours has turned into a process that actually feels exciting and manageable.
The best part? I can drop in a whole batch of pdfs and instantly see the main ideas and connections. It’s like the tool is speaking the language of my research, cutting through the noise, and giving me exactly what I need. I often catch myself thinking, “Wow, this feels like having a coversation with someone who actually gets it.”
Because of this, I’ve been able to spend way more time on the creative side of my work!
I can say with total confidence: docAnalyzer isn’t just another tool, it’s become a true partner in how I think, write, and grow as a researcher.
I highly recommend it!!!!
@stacey_hollick Thank you for your detailed feedback, Stacey — much appreciated.
If you are a student or any kind of professional, you need this. With DocAnalyzerAI, simply upload your resources—or even snap pictures of your textbook chapters—and the app handles the OCR for you. Instantly, it feels like you have a professor with all the knowledge you just uploaded, ready to guide you.
And that’s only the beginning. Unlike some tools (looking at you, NotebookLM), DocAnalyzerAI doesn’t alter or damage your uploaded files. You get generous storage space to upload as much as you want, and your documents remain perfectly preserved. Best of all, when DocAnalyzerAI gives you an answer, it also shows you exactly where the information comes from in your uploaded references.
Yes, with ChatGPT you can upload a single, limited-size file and interact with it. But with DocAnalyzerAI you can upload a multitude of large, dense files and interact with them all at once—making it vastly more powerful for real studying or professional work.
Need HR support? Upload your pile of messy HR documents and—voilà—you suddenly have an HR contact to consult. Studying for class? Upload pages or PDFs of your textbook, and you’ve got a professor at your service. Stuck with a long, tiny-font technical manual for complicated industrial or medical equipment? Upload it, and suddenly you have an on-call technical support agent who explains everything clearly. Wrestling with a confusing contract or dense legal document? Upload it, and now you have a lawyer you can ask questions.
Literally, anything that contains information—textbooks, lists, handbooks, contracts, PDFs—you can upload it, and DocAnalyzerAI lets you interact with it as if you had a subject matter expert on demand.
As a student, it can teach you. As a professional, it can save you hours of frustration. I’m very impressed by this product—and you will be too.
@andrew_jauregui Thank you for your very detailed feedback, Andrew — much appreciated.
docAnalyzer has become an essential tool in my research toolkit. I've been using it for a while now, it helps how I approach my work, especially when writing proposals, and literature/docs reviews.
major pro: ability to handle a large volume of documents simultaneously. It's like having a direct conversation with the literature, allowing me to find exactly what I need without all the extra work.
@noz5 Thanks Nimos! You might want to try our new Blueprint AI agent — it’s especially useful for literature reviews.
I've been using DocAnalyzer ever since I snagged a lifetime deal on AppSumo, and it has proven to be one of my best investments. The app excels at breaking down complex documents, especially with its summarization feature, and its chat functionality is outstanding. Initially, I thought it could only summarize texts, but I soon discovered that I could ask specific questions to guide discussions based on the documents I provided. The AI generated a list of insightful questions that truly impressed me. I wholeheartedly recommend DocAnalyzer to anyone looking to boost their productivity!
@christina_chua Thanks for you detailed feedback and support Christina...
Awesome product. As mentioned feels like a partner with my everyday tasks from research to analysis, you name it.
@mark_asiago As a maker, it's a joy to listen this...
