This is a nicer/softer way to differentiate the DVD service than what they tried back in 2010/11. Same plans, new URL, still offers the DVD link within the normal netflix.com app.
I love that Netflix has come full-circle on this. It almost seems to me that this could have been something that they launched a couple years ago, so I'm curious why it's coming out now. If nothing else, I love seeing that they're rediscovering some of their roots ha!

I like how the video is just a "How To" instead of feature driven - Shows the target demographic perfectly.

What a brilliant way to tap into the third world market where access to electricity, never mind streaming, is such a huge problem.
DVDs serve a large underrepresented market, plain and simple. Not everyone lives in or near a metropolitan area getting stream-capable internet speeds. The comments here are a good example of cultural bubbles, the same bubbles that led to an unbelievable landslide victory for Trump.
Guess you can say Netflix serves the "forgotten people." 😀
The reason to use this service is to watch a ton of stuff that isn't available via streaming. Simple as that. Why pay Apple or Amazon to watch individual movies when you can get a bunch of films for a small monthly fee. It just makes more sense financially. Also, getting mail is cool :)
