Earlyn keeps an encrypted, searchable memory of what's on your Mac's screen and in your meetings, and answers questions about your day. Scrub back through a timeline, find any word you saw, get meeting transcripts in any language with live translation, and give Claude Code, Codex or Cursor your context over MCP. Capture, search and transcription run on your Mac; nothing is sent unless you pick a cloud model or connect an app. 7 days free, then $19/month.

Hi Product Hunt! I built Earlyn.
I kept losing things I had already seen: a number in a document, a link someone posted, what was said in a call. I wanted my Mac to remember them for me, without my screen going to anyone's server.
What Earlyn does:
- Keeps the text and a picture of what's on your screen, encrypted on your Mac (SQLCipher, AES-GCM)
- Finds any word you saw, or answers questions like "what was that pricing page yesterday?"
- Transcribes meetings in any language with Whisper on your Mac, with live translation in a side panel
- Gives Claude Code, Codex and Cursor your context over MCP
Apps you exclude, private browser windows and password fields are never captured, and recording only starts when you turn it on.
It's free for 7 days, then $19/month. I'd love to hear what you'd want your Mac to remember.
The live translation for meetings is a nice touch. Being able to go back later and find a specific part of s conversation sounds really handy.

@ben_d3 Thanks! Meetings are transcribed on your Mac in any language, and every line is searchable later, so you can find the exact part and play it back from there. You can also select a stretch of the day and ask what was decided in it.
I’d be curious to see how accurate the search is when you only remember part of a word or a rough idea of what was on screen.

@ill_robyn Good question! There are two kinds of search working together:
By words: the last word you type is matched as a prefix from 3 letters, so "pric" finds "pricing".
By meaning: an on-device embedding model finds moments that are about the same thing even when the words differ, for example "listening to music" finds a YouTube tab. In our tests it put the right result first in 12 of 12 queries, in English and Turkish.
You can also narrow it down with app:, after:yesterday or a time range. Typos aren't corrected yet, though. That's on the list.
The searchable timeline is such a useful feature. I can see myself using it when I forget where I saw something.

@lucyjane Thank you! That was exactly the reason I built it. I kept losing things I had already seen. You can scrub back through the day, or just type a word you remember and jump to that moment.
