Lots of similar services out there - but I love that you've added it as a Google Chrome extension - much more intuitive & useful. Is it returning the ACTUAL result or a guestimated one, based on other corporate emails?
@david_west thanks! we get emails from a number of sources. Sometimes we find the email on a contact page, some other times we are doing some guessing and verifying.
@johnvcarroll OK so basically it will always return an email it's found online before? Just wanted to understand whether if it sees that John Carroll works at Amplemarket and has your email, then when I try to find George's email in the same company, it doesn't "guess" his email from that email pattern like some other providers do - i.e. returning george@amplemarket.com
@_sklahr_ Exactly - I was trying to establish if it was like Hunter or not - because Hunter wasn't particularly useful for actually finding email addresses, but instead patterns. If it had allowed me, a few weeks back, to copy it's guestimate to my clipboard - it would have made my job easier but it neither did that or really deliver me the results I was after.
@david_west@_sklahr_ Hey David, now there is a "find someone" field in Hunter search. It lets you search for a name in a company and have the best result. It indicates if it's a guess or an email address actually found somewhere (and gives the sources). It will be added to the extension very soon! https://twitter.com/fgrante/stat...
Just tried. It guessed it when I gave it a corporate domain. But given a public domain like gmail, it found my email address. However it just found one. There was one more email address it didn't. Cool. Liked it. Does it validates the existence of an email address?
@sridhar_kondoji we are always trying to improve the hit rate. There isn't a silver bullet. We collect data from dozens of different sources and employ a number of techniques to validate and guess emails (SMTP check, website crawling, etc).

So i've seen a fair amount of these tools now (love clearbit and found that via PH). Nothing stands out or screams difference about this tool from the dozens of others i've seen.
One thing i've yet to find which I think would be helpful is a tool where you can dump a list of contacts/domains to find them all at once. Any plans or abilities to do that? I'd pay for that kind of tool
@heatherhuhman fixed it! we had 2 typos actually! I'm dyslexic so I usually end up sprinkling a few here and there:) thanks for the catch

Useful idea, but I didn't find some publicly know addresses from CEOs in the IT sphere... How are you building the database? Based on public email addresses, what users insert, email addresses from your users,...?

Free, huh? What about giving 1-5 test attempts, to see if it works at all?
Pros:
Had no chance to test.
Cons:
Not free as declared.
