@chrisgeorgiev That is exactly the idea. We want to bring back that feeling of excitement that people had when browsing through piles of vinyl in the local records shop.
@ivosabev, @angeln, @sechkov - Love the idea! I keep having trouble getting fed up with certain music. For me it often comes down to the decision whether to play the "current hits" and hear them yet once again (and thus "spoil" those hits for months or even years) or to suffer listening to the lists created by other people that does not really suit me. So, with adding "smartness" to the field of music discovery you really can't go wrong. Good luck and looking forward to using your app! Btw, also love your webpage!
@mihauhan, thanks for the good words! I think a lot of us feel the same way. Right now it really takes an effort to go out of your comfort zone and start exploring. And I think algorithms right now get it wrong, they all try to super profile you and give you what you want, but the truth is that we don't know what we want until we find it. Our algorithms work in the other direction, we try to expand your horizon and serve you something unexpected, because the cost of hearing few seconds of something you don't like and swiping left is so low.
I really like the idea behind this! The first thing I wanted when I went to the site was an app store link, but the product hunt banner obscures it until you scroll down a little.
@klinger_scott Thanks for the heads-up Klinger! We fixed it. I'd love to hear what you have to say about Enso once you've spent some time with it.
Thanks!

@sibizavic we use, music blogs, playlists and in-house curators + some machine learning algorithms that carefully build your taste profile. And I say carefully, because we believe in music serendipity and instead of closing people in the prison of their taste (like some others do), we try to help them discover more. This level of adventurousness is very individual and we are still working to find the right balance.
@ivosabev@sibizavic Makes sense! An option that I was thinking of is to assign weights on the different factors and then do some A/B/C/.. testing or an optimization (if you can somehow measure a successful discovery) to find the optimal weights. Good luck!
@juantabone Thanks, John. I would love to hear what you have to say! We are working on a major update and the feedback from our users is the main driver.
