The core problem was simple: the best local knowledge here lives in WhatsApp chats, casual recommendations, and scattered tourist pages. Google Maps gives you listings, but not much context. I wanted something more editorial, more opinionated, and more useful if you actually want to know where to eat, surf, work, or spend time in town.
So I built a product that combines:
structured local listings
community reviews
editorial recommendations
business claim flows
better discovery than a generic directory
Early traction has been encouraging. In the first 19 public days, it reached 421 visitors, 1,256 pageviews, 46 five-star reviews, and 118 Instagram referrals.
A few days in, I’m seeing not just user traction, but business-intent signal too.
1.2k+ pageviews
420+ visitors
46 reviews
80 visits to claim/add-listing pages
Still early, but the feedback loop is getting clearer.
