This looks awesome, congrats! Big fan of how this tackles Shopify preorder headaches.
How do I charge the remaining amount for deposits? Can I take deposits in any amount?
@justasdesign thanks for the support!
Great question. Firstly, you can take any amount for deposits, you can choose either percentage or specific value, to add to that, you can set the payment due date to any that works for you. Some merchants like to collect the remainder of the payment before shipping the items, others, specific time after the order.
As per payment collection, you can do that in Shopify admin, just go in and collect the payment once it's due.
I’ve tried numerous preorder apps over the last year, and this one is by far the best. It’s simple to use, reliable, and has never failed me when it comes to keeping track of preorder quantities. The estimated ship date feature is a game-changer essential for building trust with customers and cutting down on service inquiries. Being able to set date ranges per product, color, and size has made managing multiple preorder timelines much easier.
What I value most is the app’s reliability. Preorders are complicated, and the last thing you want is a tech bug when customers are waiting. This app makes the whole process seamless and transparent.
My only feedback is around customer updates. I have had issues in the past where some customers did not receive their shipping update sent for a delay. With the nature of preorders, delays are common. Having the ability to keep customers in the loop on their timeline is very important to me.
Carrying that idea forward, I’d love to see:
Estimated ship dates included automatically in confirmation emails (many customers forget the date they saw at checkout and reach out to customer service).
A more dynamic tracking experience, something like an Uber-style portal that shows not just “processing” but the actual stage of production (e.g., 1. Making your items → 2. Packing → 3. Waiting for pickup).
This kind of transparency would ease customer anxiety and build trust with the brand. Similar to how Uber shows your driver on a map with your expected wait time. The customers are okay with waiting, they just want to have clarity on how long.
Overall, this app has been a lifesaver for me and my customers. Thank you for building something so reliable!
That's a great app! It's super easy to set up. I've been using it for a couple weeks.
This is perfect for new product launches or when you run out of stock but plan to restock soon. Email notifications make sure customers never forget about product availability.
Seems like a great app 👍 How do discounts work with preorders?
@zydrunas1 Thanks!
You can set discounts in preorder campaigns in our app. If you want these discounts to work with other discounts that you create in Shopify admin, make sure that the purchase type setting is set to: both (instead of one time purchase) in discount settings. Shopify treats preorders the same way they treat subscriptions.
