Before interviews even start, recruiters deal with a lot of repetitive admin work inside the browser downloading resumes, manually masking phone numbers and emails, re-uploading PDFs into systems, switching tabs to schedule calls it felt broken so we built a Chrome extension that automatically masks PII on resumes, syncs candidates in one click, and schedules interviews instantly removing friction.
The PII masking is what caught my eye — that step always gets skipped when things get busy, even though it shouldn't. How does it handle CVs that aren't in a standard format? Some candidates get pretty creative with layouts and that tends to break most parsing tools.
@klara_minarikova Love that you picked up on that, you’re right, PII masking is usually the first thing that gets skipped when volume hits.
For non-standard CVs, we’re not relying only on rigid parsing templates. The extension uses pattern detection + context-based identification (phone numbers, emails, links, etc.) directly on the rendered document.
So even if the layout is creative, two-column, graphic-heavy, or slightly messy, it still detects and masks common PII elements reliably. That said, super design-heavy PDFs can always be edge cases and we’re actively improving it based on the user feedback we get.
