FDscanner: Screen and filter millions of US stock options.

Hi Product Hunters I’m Kayin, the creator of FDscanner. It is an app for traders to screen and filter hundreds of thousands of US stock options from 15 different criterias, multiplying the research efficiency of traders. An option trader may only have the time to follow options for 20 stocks on their own, and FDscanner comes in to apply their screening criteria to options for over 1900 stocks. Long term investors can also use the app to find and open short put positions, to get a better entry point on a stock they wish to initiate or increase their position in. In addition to the option scanner, there’s also 2 unique features to the platform. The Put/Call skew index, to find price and supply/demand imbalances between equally out-the-money put and call options. If you have a contrarian view to the Put/Call skew, you could be paying significantly less for the long option, or receive significantly more premium by shorting the option. The Max Tendies Index. Built on a custom quant indicator that received live trading allocation from Quantopian’s algo trading fund, this index sets a high and low price target for stocks based on the 40-90th percentile daily price movement for the past 10 days. It then scans all options, and computes the number of times it will be worth if that price movement materializes. This can be used to find under or overpriced options relative to recent volatility. Also, if the trader already has a directional thesis for a stock, he can view tendies index for just that stock to quickly compare the risk/reward between different available options. FDscanner launched in mid April and has been well received by Reddit’s Wallstreetbets, who upvoted it to the top of the subreddit. For now, my focus is to make this platform better week after week.
