I have been on the hunt for different AI editing tools like AutoCut or Adobe's built in text-based editing, and I found FireCut to be a program that stands above the competition. The AI on the captions is accurate with a little bit of manual text edits required for it to be accurate, on device silence cut works very well, and it does everything an AI tool for editing do - including the highlight cut. It is the best AI Premiere Pro plugin money can buy.

However, I find it very hard to give this program 5 stars. It has expensive pricing especially with the current conditions surrounding the economical environment in my country, it has to include local pricing for the plugin to be accessible to the world. And like I said before - the responses are somewhat inaccurate for the captions.

Autocut

The AI is more accurate than AutoCut AI - and it has more features than them. That is why I need FireCut - because it is hassle-free from the get go.

How smoothly does it integrate with Premiere Pro workflows?

It's smooth - sometimes on the Davinci Resolve side it lags, but I'm grateful the Premiere Pro version works seamlessly - with a hiccup or two depending on your hardware - but that's ok.

Is it beginner-friendly for first-time Premiere editors?

It's beginner friendly - click go and it instantly modifies your project - there's options for beginners and advanced users.

Does it speed up your first cut significantly?

When I first started the editing process it sped up the first cut - which is silence cutting and profanity removal - it trims out the excess unused footage and trims out silences fast - perfect for starting an edit - after the first cut to the online edit.

I found myself looking at a dozen different ai automatic editing tools, but Firecut came out on top from what I can tell. I was able to get started using it, and even after a few tries I can definitely see how it will improve my workflow.

It won't replace fully editing the piece, but it will help expedite things like finding the highlights for the reel at the front of a podcast interview for example (one of the most tedious parts of editing). It will also help me enhance the visual design of the shows.

What needs improvement

A bit simpler installation, part of this is due to python, but that would help give it a wider reach of people.

The pause removal needs a bit more fine tuning, but I already told the team and I'm sure they're adding things left and right. Full steam ahead that crew over there!

I have been using FireCut to edit my YouTube videos. I really enjoy the creative parts of editing but removing silences and repetitions is the most boring, time consuming task that no one wants to do. This tool has been revolutionary as it does all the boring work for you and that too in seconds!!!

What needs improvement

Love the latest UI update! Its unreal how the developers send new updates and keep improving the features every other week!

The customer service is - I would say - 'COMPLETELY DEAD'. Once you make payment, you are 'NO-ONE'. I took 7 Day Free trial. Then I subscribed to they Pro Plan. I put the activation key. But after sometime the key was disabled. I tried again. I kept getting error 'License key exists but is disabled'. On my Firecut Dashboard, the key was deactivated. I tried reaching out to their customer support via email. It's been almost week, NO REPLY. Their Discord Server is not working. Their WebChat is also not working. Now they seem very suspicious. Please proceed with caution.

As a senior editor of 15 years, I've found this tool incredibly useful for repetitive tasks. I love the chapters feature for when I publish my podcasts. But I've been speaking with Suhail about some ways to take the Repetition Deletion tool to the next level, which would help thousands of editors get long form edits down to time. Suhail has been moving at lightning speed and I can't wait for the future of this product!

I've been using FireCut for about a month, saving me at least 30% of my time editing for my short-form content using the 'remove silences' feature. This week I began using the native captions generator, and it's much slicker and more robust than using PP native interface which requires multiple steps to implement and doesn't have easy edits (number of words in a line, style, etc.) I can't recommend FC highly enough!

I am a content creator and I use Firecut on the DAILY. It has made my life and job so much easier. So much so that I bought an entire extra PC just to have it Firecut everything while I continue to make more content. The subtitles, silence removal, and the multicam POV has changed the game. I save sooo much time editing now. Edits that once took 6 + hours now take 2-3. Thank you Firecut!

Been using this for 3 months and it definitely saves time when do your first pass on a talking head video, quickly adding captions, and a rough draft of chapters for YouTube. The best feature is definitely the podcast editing / angle switching. Wish I had this years ago.

I was fortunate enough to be a part of the beta in trying out the tools and it's amazing to see FireCut evolve with its new features and improvements being added consistently! I use the Remove Silence tool for nearly every single project I work on as an editor and I save so much time using this tool alone. What I love about Firecut is how just how many improvements come each month. Sometimes, weekly. It's become a primary tool in my workflow and saves me a lot of time and headaches. Is it perfect? Of course not. But I bet that's what the team is aiming for and I'm here for the ride. I had considered switching to AutoPod but...alas, Firecut made the...cut :)
