Snapchat has been suspending or closing accounts that use 3rd party apps. From the last screenshot in the iTunes listing, it appears this integrates with Snapchat pretty tightly. Are you afraid Snapchat will ban accounts that use the app?
So when does Snapchat release group messaging and group stories? I know they tried our campus story at a few universities.
Fleek looks sweet. IMO, a picture-based feed seems more compelling than text-based (Yik Yak). The app icon is just as wonky as Yik Yak's too!
Congrats on the launch, @seanh. No matter how awesome the product itself is, it won't be useful without reaching critical mass in several geographies (at least in its current incarnation from what I've seen). How are you getting the word out and are there any heavily active campuses using it yet?
Times like this is when I debate investing in an iPhone solely to test out apps I see on PH... Looks snappy. How's the UX overall? Conceptually it seems better once you understand it but it looks like way more to learn than YikYak or Snapchat individually.
ive actually seen a few local attempts at this (there is one called "Yeti" that is quite popular with a couple of the colleges here in North Carolina) - this one def has a nice looking experience.
honestly, apps that allow college kids to anonymously submit pictures can and will do well - but will any grow to the presence (or even remotely) to snapchat? not sure. but i think you guys have the technical knowledge and creativity to do some really cool stuff!
