Say goodbye to cockpit posters and take your pilot training to the next level. Flight Deck gives aviators a Cessna 172 Cockpit in mixed reality, for the most realistic and interactive chair flying experience. Equipped with full avionics, move every switch, dial, and control, just like in the real aircraft. Designed for student pilots and licensed aviators alike, this app brings let you practice in any whether, anytime, anywhere. Train like a pro, without the cost or hassle of a simulator.
We knew we had to build Flight Deck after seeing how Air Force pilots train in between missions while user testing our other aviation apps. Simulators are great, but they are expensive, only located at the base (or flight school) and get booked up. To try to recreate a simulator, pilots - military, private, and commercial - use posters taped to the wall to practice checklists and workflows.
This is smart, because posters and cheap and easy to move around but we knew we could do better. So we created an app that hosts different cockpits, all hyper realistic, with interactive controls, so pilots can train and rehearse in a mini-simulator (aka a Meta Quest 3) without having to leave their living room.
We started with the Cessna 172, but want to add more aircraft. Tell us which ones we should support next!
