Flipp started from a simple frustration: almost every PDF tool asked me to upload documents to a server before doing something as basic as merging, splitting, or converting a file. That felt backwards. Many PDFs contain resumes, contracts, invoices, IDs, and other sensitive information. Yet uploading them to unknown servers has become normal. So I started building a different approach: a PDF toolkit where everything happens directly in the browser. No uploads, no accounts, no waiting for server processing. Your files stay on your device. What began as a few simple tools gradually evolved into a complete PDF workspace with conversion, editing, OCR, protection, watermarking, and more—all running locally. Yet another practical tool which eschews Big Tech's demands to essentially relinquish your privacy by uploading confidential information to their servers. I love it. I think the more we can keep Big Tech's nose out of our business, the better off everyone will be. We should have a slogan, like "Load Locally" or anything better than that.
