We pair real-world label prevalence with public awareness signals for every food additive—so you can see not just what an additive is, but how common it is and how much people care. • Two datasets, one screen: Prevalence on product labels + consumer interest side by side. • Purpose-built & structured: Consistent pages (Function · Common foods · ADI/Risks · Status US/EU/CA · Synonyms/E-numbers · Sources). • Trustable: Every fact cited (FDA, EFSA, JECFA). No SEO fluff. No ads.
Hi Product Hunt,
Holidays mean more sweets, not more additives. I wanted a fast, cited way to see how common each additive is—and whether the public is suspicious or unsuspecting. Most sites define; this one quantifies: one screen with label prevalence + consumer awareness. Try “citric acid,” “E171,” or “emulsifier.”
I really enjoyed working on this project! The most interesting challenge was analyzing 800,000+ products from Open Food Facts to surface meaningful patterns across 609 food additives. We also integrated search volume data from Ahrefs to help prioritize which additives people actually care about learning more about. The keyword analysis revealed some fascinating insights - like how certain additive searches can be heavily influenced by non-food contexts.
