Great idea! I'm trying it out. Would like to see ability to easily query 1) total current calorie intake (for day), 2) remaining calories available (based on diet/calorie plan), 3) ability to adjust calorie plan based on exercise
@onedurr Matt, thanks a lot for the feedback. You can see your total calorie intake now - just click on "Diary" button and follow the link. P2 and P3 will be done very soon, working on it!

Hey guys, I checked out Forksy and love how easy Forxy makes calorie tracking. Very useful and fun bot. Congrats on the launch and good luck!

Love the chat interface. Better collection of food would be better. I tried adding "NatureValley roasted nut granola bar" and all it takes is roasted nuts.

Guys, just curious - What is under the hood? Which database do you use and handle all the input?

1) We use the Nutritionix food database and API to count calories
2) We are experimenting with Clarifai’s image recognition API
3) We use Api.ai for managing some of Forksy’s dialogs
4) Our own machine learning / NLU / conversation management algorithms
