The Simpsons is my favorite show so this is GOLD.
That said, the landing page is kind of intimidating in that I had no idea what to search first. Might be kind of cool to provide some common searches or popular images so people can get started without being faced with an empty search field.
@p_ngu I totally agree. We put that on hold for launch, but it's in the hopper! Any suggestions for what the default search(es) should be?

@seriousallie Good question, maybe fun things like beer, food, dancing, party, etc. or popular Simpsons scenes. Perhaps chat with the Giphy team about what categories/searches people do, they're probably pretty up to date on popular search terms!
I love this idea, but this would be so much better with a browse functionality too. I'm willing to be there are a lot more users who would browse vs knowing an exact scene they want to look up..
@super_haik Interesting... Tell me more! Are you thinking of something like a list of episodes by season that you can expand view all screencaps from that episode?
@seriousallie my first impulse was to want to just scroll down and see some of the content...maybe it could even be a quick grid of the most searched for images of the last hour or something, and then from there maybe you can click in and see other related screenshots (not necessarily same episode) and just keep digging your way around. basically it just feels like there needs to be a second path for people who can't think of a search term right away but still wanna look at screenshots!
@super_haik Ah, I see! Yeah @p_ngu and @joshuapinter were thinking something similar (see above comments ^^). What do you think of the idea of a default search or searches?

@lordserch Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying it. And thanks for the suggestion! That's a great idea, so it's no big surprise that you aren't the first person to suggest it. :) It's in the hopper, but probably won't make it into the next release. There's a few design challenges associated with working that into the existing UI that I still need to address. Thanks again!

At first, I thought I coudn't actually get any search terms to work because it kept saying not found. Then I realized it's actually just slow -- might be helpful to put a loading message instead so that users aren't discouraged! I didn't notice until I returned to the page after giving up and found my last search query completed.
