As beginners, we realized we didn’t actually know how diversified our portfolios were. We held multiple funds that sounded different — global, tech, emerging markets — but we had no clear way to see how much they overlapped. Most tools showed performance, fees, or allocation, but not whether we were basically buying the same companies again. What started as a small school project between me and two friends became an attempt to solve that.
