gifski converts video frames to GIF animations using pngquant's fancy features for efficient cross-frame palettes and temporal dithering. It produces animated GIFs that use thousands of colors per frame.
If you need the same quality output but want more tools like trimming, cropping, wacky palettes and sharing you can check out my GIF'ted app at https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Really cool. It will come in handy!
I usually use Licecap to capture video playing on macOS to get my result .gif file as I don't really have video-to-gif tool that is effective to use.
Just 2 things after tested gifski
- quality didn't seem to affect filesize
- more control over frame dropping, dithering, etc like what https://ezgif.com/optimize has online would be awesome to really effectively reduce filesize even more.
@sagivo The GIF format is very inefficient. You can control the quality and scale. In the latest version, you can also set the frame rate, which can help reduce the size.
