The GitHub integration for Slack gives you and your teams full visibility into your GitHub projects right in Slack channels, where you can generate ideas, triage issues and collaborate with other teams to move projects forward. This integration is an open source project, built and maintained by GitHub.
WTH github, you've made the new one worse :( It doesn't post comments on commits anymore (just comments on issues), and a push groups commits into "3 new commits" rather than showing a list of each commit message+link, which links to the `/compare/sha1...sha2/` page that doesn't support adding comments, so need another click.
#disappointment
@frexuz Heads up that a pull request went out to improve the list of commits: https://github.com/integrations/...
We're open to adding commit comment notifications, but it wasn't a high priority since commit comments are used so little.

@bkeepers nice PR :) i understand that something it could be a low priority, if it was a new feature. But I can't understand how one would remove features :( we used it every day as part of our progress reviewing, instead of waiting for a full PR to be published.
Report
Been using it almost since starting to work with Slack a year and a half ago. Love it.
Pros:
Lots of API endpoints for notifications (Issues, commits, etc)
Cons:
Can be spammy on very active projects
Report
we have used an older integration and quite pleased by the usefulness of the integration
Pros:
get a ringside view of dev without leaving slack
Cons:
with large number of developers, it could mean many updates
Report
We'd REALLY REALLY REALLY love a way to (instantly) create GitHub issues from Slack updates, sort of like the (equally awesome) Busybot does with their Zap emoji. But even just the ability to create issues directly from Slack would be welcome.

Pros:it's GitHub -- it's Slack -- it's from bkeepers -- what more do you need?
Cons:none?
