I watch a lot of video content, and it has always driven me crazy how locked-down and inconsistent default HTML5 video players are across the web. One site won't let you adjust the speed, another has terrible native audio, and most don't support Picture-in-Picture.
My team and I spent the last few months figuring out how to override these default players. We ended up building a universal toolbar (called Glitch) that forces 50+ missing features onto every site things like speed control, audio EQ, smart skip, and PiP.
Since we've been staring at video UI for months, I m curious what this community actually cares about the most. Vote below, and if anyone is curious about how we bypassed the native players or wants to test the tool on an obscure site, let me know in the comments!
