Open-source AI gateway in Go. One OpenAI-compatible API for every provider, with budgets, caching, guardrails, load balancing, and failover. Single binary, ~20MB docker image MIT, bring your own keys. A self-hosted alternative to OpenRouter and LiteLLM.

Swapped out a LiteLLM sidecar for this over the weekend and the setup was genuinely just docker run plus a config file. Single binary means one less moving part to babysit, and having budgets and guardrails built in instead of bolted on saves a lot of the usual gateway boilerplate.

The dashboard for observability is functional but pretty bare right now, would like to see per-provider cost breakdowns over time rather than just raw request counts.

LiteLLM works fine but it's a Python library you embed in your own service, so you end up owning the deployment story yourself. GoModel ships as a standalone binary with the gateway concerns already handled, which meant less glue code on my end.
