GreptimeDB is an open-source Observability 2.0 database. It stores metrics, logs, and traces as unified wide events in one columnar engine on object storage, replacing separate systems like Prometheus, Loki, and Elasticsearch. It supports SQL, PromQL, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, and Grafana natively. Written in Rust with compute-storage separation for painless scaling. Used in production for log management, metrics storage, trace analysis, and AI/LLM observability.
